Not quite the colourful Rainbow Lorikeet or cute Kookaburra but a bird that is at worst hated, and at best ignored. This bird is especially hated by cyclists during the breeding season where they would swoop down and attack anyone unfortunate enough to venture a little too close to their nest. But in spite of this, if you look past the simple black and white colour (or brown and white in the case of the young birds), they are actually beautiful. Those mischievous little black eyes denote a surprisingly intelligent bird. You can almost hear the plans being schemed small head.
