I took my usual lunch time walk today, this time taking the CityCat ferry to Mobray Park, then walked along the river towards Norman Park where I got the ferry to New Farm, and then back to the city. On the way I saw a White-breasted Sea Eagle flying upstream, but a bit far for a good photo. Not long afterwards the same eagle returned, this time carrying what looked like a catfish in it’s talons, no doubt soon to become lunch.
According to Wikipedia, the female is slightly larger than the male and can have a wingspan of up to 2.2 m (7 ft).
